Curtis Cameron Langdon, a Vietnam veteran and longtime resident of Troy, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2022 at Aspen Creek in Troy. Curtis was born October 17, 1945 in Biloxi, MS.
Curtis proudly served his country as a Combat Engineer for Company E 16th Brigade 1st Armed Division. The United States Army recognized him for his honorable service with the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 2 Bronze Service Stars, Sharpshooter Medal, and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. He graduated from Southern Illinois University with a degree in Business Administration. He worked at Scott Air Force Base for over 25 years before retiring from the U.S. Government. He was an avid photographer and loved gardening. Curtis also loved the Vietnamese community and spent much of his free time appreciating their culture. His nieces and nephews were his life and enjoyed all the time they spent together.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George D. and Anna Mae (nee Gebauer) Langdon and great- nephew, Brandon M. Rose.
Surviving are his brothers, John R. (Kris) Langdon and Bruce E. (Tami Garwood) Langdon; nieces, Ann Langenstein and Khristen (Todd) Mears; nephews, Zak (Marissa) Langdon, Michael (Laura) Langdon and Ryan (Laurie) Langdon; great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.

Visitation for Curtis will be 10 to 11 am on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, IL.
Services will be held 11 am on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, IL with Fr. Kevin Laughery officiating. Interment will be at St. Jerome Catholic Cemetery, Troy, IL.
