David Lee Vogt

David Lee Vogt, 67, of Covington, KY, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Covington on December 19, 1954, he was the son of the late Jack and Norma Vogt. He attended classes at both Dixie High School and Holmes High School. David proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era. He was a Master Carpenter, working in the trade service for over 45 years before retiring. David was a member and Treasurer of The Standard Club of Covington and a Past President of the Darters of Northern Kentucky. He enjoyed watching sports, bowling and playing Golf. David loved to spend time with his family. David is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years: Debbie Vogt; sons: David Justin Vogt, Michael Vogt and Zach (Abby Cole) Vogt; daughters: Krishna (Scott) Cecil; brothers: Doug Vogt, Dale (Cathy) Vogt, Dean (Missy) Vogt and Clint Vogt; step-mother: Barbara Vogt; grandchildren: Nick Cecil, Eli (Megan Treadway) Cecil and Chloe Cecil; great-granddaughter: Hazel Cecil and a large extended family. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, from 12:00 P.M. (Noon) until the Memorial Service at 2:00 P.M. at Serenity Funeral Care, 40 West 6th Street, Covington, KY 41011.
