When we moved here 27 years ago we met Dennis. He was incredibly kind , hard working and always willing to help. We developed a relationship over the years and know our world is lesser for his loss. We are sorry we didn't see the obituary and learned of his passing from a letter the family sent . His memory will always be a blessing and you're all in our thoughts and prayers

Dennis, Dennis, Dennis, what can I say my friend? God called you before we could say goodbye. He´s the boss and He needed you. You will be missed by everyone who knew you - especially your giving heart and your ease of conversation - be it sports, politics, family or the weather, you had an opinion and it was usually pretty funny. You being proud of your bride Letty or your wonderful children Ross, Lisa and Felicia is an understatement and the way your eyes lit up when you spoke of your grandchildren was incredible.

I had the pleasure and honor of meeting Dennis at Ames Nowell park where he labored to maintain and address any problems as they arrived. Most meetings were with my grandsons and I taking a walk (trying to tire them out) and when Dennis appeared it was a great opportunity to brag about his grandchildren and their achievements with a twinkle in his eyes. The world lost a great man but I´m sure his family lost more but rest assure he will be remembered and sorely missed by us all. My condolences to the family and relatives of Dennis. Our walks to the park and my casual meetings with Dennis will be missed.

Dennis & I graduated from AHS together. A while back, I was sitting at the Red Cross in Weymouth, waiting to donate blood. I looked over and recognized Dennis immediately. We had a very nice chat, caught up a bit and exchanged contact info, not having seen each other since graduation. He was so kind and his devotion to his family and helping others came through immediately. Sending love to his family and everyone who knew him.

As a neighbor we are very sorry to hear about Dennis. We would have many fun talks about what was going on in the world and shared stories from one of our favorite talk show hosts. The pride he would share about his family was awesome and heartfelt. May Dennis rest in heavenly peace and may your family find comfort in knowing what a wonderful person he was and loved by all of the neighbors.

My father was an incredible man, he left me with more love in my heart and enough life lessons and memories to last a lifetime. He was truly the best dad. He was always there to help when I needed it no matter what, hug me when I cried, and reassure me things would get better, he could always make me laugh by the silly things he would say or do. He had the kindest heart and was always so giving. The love he had for my children was amazing and like nothing else I have ever seen, his grandchildren were his world and he let them know they were loved beyond words everyday and in every way. There isn't anything that man wouldn't do for them. I am going to miss my dad and long for him for the rest of my life but I am incredibly grateful that God blessed me and my children with such an excellent one in a million man.

Letty and Family,
Michael and I are heartbroken for your family and deeply saddened by the loss of Dennis. He was always so kind and welcoming to us, asking after the girls and their activities, and Michael's golf and work. In turn, it was fun to witness his happiness and pride as he shared his grandkids' success on the ice, in the pool, and on the slopes; his trips with Ross and spending time at Ross and Julia's ski house; and his admiration for Lisa's hard work on behalf of her children. In thinking about Dennis since his passing, two things came to mind. The first was an incredibly thoughtful thing he did for Michael and I after we bought our first home in Weymouth. Being first time home owners, we forgot that mowing the grass and yard work didn't just happen and by the time we closed on the house, the yard looked like a jungle! We were trying to figure out what yard tools we needed to get and how to clean up the mess amidst all the other stress of moving. Imagine my surprise upon arriving at the house with a load of boxes one evening to find the grass - front and back yard - mowed, the hedges trimmed, and the walkways and patio cleaned up. Lorrie told us Dennis had come over and done it for us, despite having his own business and clients to take care of, as a gift for our new home. It was such a thoughtful gesture and so appreciated as overwhelmed new home owners! The second memory is from your house, Letty, during a visit to discuss the move to Linden Ponds. While we were all talking, I noticed Dennis step away and begin preparing something in the kitchen. After a bit, I realized he was making you tea, Letty, and his practiced movements indicated this was a regular occurrence. What struck me about this moment and while I still remember it, is how delighted Dennis looked when you acknowledged your mug of tea; he literally puffed up with happiness. I don't think you two even said anything to each other but his happiness in doing something nice for you was so obvious in that moment that I clearly remember thinking, 'wow, these two are really in love'. Those moments and his genuine kindness really personified Dennis to me and we are truly sorry for your family's great loss

Dennis gave me the most wonderful gifts in my life. my precious children.
his unconditional love for all three of them was beyond comprehension i have more memories of the everyday sweet things he did to take the time to let me know I was truly loved
I am blessed to have more than one heart can hold. he somehow must have known I would need them to last the rest of my lifetime with out him. if every man on this earth had just an ounce of dennis in him what a place it would be
Honor dennis and leave a note or a kind gesture for someone you love and allow his Memory to live on in each of you ,bring joy and smiles to those you love while you can for what you do today is all you will have to remember tomorrow

I always thought it was the coolest thing to know Dennis was a park ranger. I am deeply sorry for your loss, Letty, and your children. You raised confident children. You were a good provider and a loyal husband. Sincerely,Deborah Fairbanks from Hingham, your sister in law, Holly Grant's best friend.
