Dorothy Bienski Scotka, 88, of Rosenberg, Texas passed away on November 21, 2024. She was born November 25, 1935 in Houston, Texas to John and Anne Bienski. Dorothy studied Bookkeeping in College. After she married Norbert, she took care of her three children before joining the workforce and started working for the First National Bank of Rosenberg, which she retired from in 2000.
Dorothy was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic church for over 60 years. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court 1476, Holy Rosary Alter Society, Eucharistic Minister, and Dance Club at the American Legion Hall.
Dorothy and Norbert loved to go dancing. Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, she will truly be missed.
Dorothy is preceded in death by husband, Norbert, her parents, John and Anne Bienski, brothers, George and John Bienski Jr, sister Elizabeth, mother and father-in-law Louis and Clara Scotka.
Survivors include her son, Anthony Scotka and wife, Shelley; daughters, Teresa Freund and Donna Scotka; grandchildren, Kirsten Dell and her husband, Alan, Kelsey and Nathan Scotka, and grand-dogs, Duke, Arnie, Boudreaux, and Jetter; great grand dog Remi; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A visitation will be held at 8:30 a.m. followed by a rosary at 9:30 a.m. and Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg. Burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg.
Pallbearers will include Anthony Scotka, Nathan Scotka, Alan Dell, John Bienski, Jon Zurek, and Tony Brown.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court 1476, Rosenberg, Scholarship Fund or Knights of Columbus Council 2801, Rosenberg.
