Edward Nathaniel Peade, 96, of Chesapeake, went to be with the Lord, peacefully, surrounded by family on Saturday, June 21, 2025. Born in Nathalie, Virginia, he was the son of the late John Tennie Peade and Dora Anderson Peade. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 57 years, Joyce Fears Peade. Mr. Peade was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. He retired from Rochester Button Company, South Boston, VA. He was a charter member of Centerville Baptist Church from 1963.
In 2020 moved to Chesapeake and became a member of Great Hope Baptist Church.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Donna P. Halleck and husband Allen; grandchildren, Nathaniel Halleck (Amy), Stephen Halleck (Liz), Paul Halleck (Kimberly), Mark Halleck (Bianca); 10 great-grandchildren as well as many loving nieces, nephews and extended family.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, June 26, 2025 at Oak Ridge Cemetery, South Boston, VA with Military Rites. Immediately followed by a Celebration of Life service at Centerville Baptist Church in South Boston. A reception will follow at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Centerville Baptist Church missions fund. 3200 Halifax Rd. South Boston, VA 24592
