Eleanor's greatest joy in life was her family. She loved Keith, Megan and Luke immensely. Keith was endlessly devoted to his wife and provided a strong support system, comfort and care especially during her final weeks.
Eleanor shared a special bond with her loving and supportive father as well as her in-laws who were very inspirational on her spiritual journey to be with our Lord.
Eleanor was the most genuine soul with the heart of an angel. Anyone who was blessed to know Eleanor can attest to that.
She had a gentle voice, a beautiful smile and a cheerful laugh that will live on in our hearts forever. Her kind and loving ways shown through in everything she did. She would be the first to lend a helping hand or two to tackle many many dishes after a holiday gathering. She stopped at nothing to put a smile on someone's face oftentimes making your favorite treat to enjoy or sharing a heartfelt gift. Eleanor was thoughtful in every act of kindness. She always put the happiness of others before
herself and never wanted anyone to worry about her. Eleanor loved spending time together, drinking a glass of wine and having fun. One of her favorite pastimes was vacationing in the Outer Banks, North Carolina as a large extended family. She was the entertaining aunt, sister, daughter and mother who kept all of the kids accounted for and safe. She was the first to embark on adventure whether that be kayaking or getting a new tattoo. Being the second oldest of many siblings, Eleanor served as an
amazing role model. She was a great listener and shared wonderful advice, always with a positive outlook on life.
Eleanor was born on April 11, 1975 to Nicholas DeRosa and Christine Ballard Drake in
Campbell Hall, NY.
She graduated from Goshen High School and attended Orange County Community College. She spent her early career working at Konica Minolta. Being the kindhearted and selfless person that she was,
Eleanor discovered her true passion in life was serving and caring for others. Thus, Eleanor earned her LPN from Boces and truly enjoyed her time working in pediatrics at Crystal Run Healthcare.
