Jason Lee Edgar

Jason Lee Edgar, age 52, of Blackshear, GA, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly in his sleep on November 11, 2023. He was born in Pensacola, Florida on December 6, 1970 to Henry and Marian Edgar. Jason was married to Stacy (Exum) Edgar for 29 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Blackshear, Georgia. Jason graduated from Pine Forest High School, Pensacola, Florida. After college, he worked for his family's construction company. He then began his career at Management Cleaning Control, which eventually lead him to become the Director of operations manager for Baptist Health and Leesburg Medical center with Sodexo which led him to Mobile Infirmary and Robertsdale Healthcare. He was also the director of EVS/ linen for Satilla Regional which became Mayo Clinic where he held a regional position encompassing Mayo Clinic Jacksonville, FL. Jason worked endless hours to always achieve perfection. He was an amazing leader and champion for his employees. In 1991 he met the love of his life, Stacy Heather Exum Edgar and they were wed on March 26, 1994. One of his favorite things was to coach his children in baseball and softball. He enjoyed cruising with his family and vacations in the mountains. He was known by his friends for the compassion he showed to everyone. To know Jason was to know anything and everything about the Crimson Tide, and any conversation you had with him you were guaranteed a laugh.
He is preceded in death by Paternal Grandparents Charles Herman Edgar, Sr. and Mary Agnes Peters Edgar, Maternal Grandparent Elvira Viola Babbin, and numerous relatives.
Jason is survived by his wife, Stacy (Exum) Edgar; his father, Henry Edgar and his mother Marian Edgar; Sydney Edgar, his daughter; Ryan Edgar, his son; Justin Edgar, his son; Lauren Edgar, his daughter; Chad Edgar and wife Heather, his brother and sister-in-law; and Jason Exum, his brother-in-law. He will be sorely missed.
Funeral Service will be Friday, November 17, 2023, at 11:30 AM, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South. Visitation will be one hour prior at 10:30 AM. Wayne Butts will be officiating. Interment will be in Pensacola Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Randy Edgar, Jason Exum, Jayson Stewart, Shane Fernandez, Tim Edgar, and Sean Till. Honorary pallbearers will be Henry Edgar, Chad Edgar, Ryan Edgar, Justin Edgar, Jazz Bullard, Chuck Edgar, Jody Edgar, Brian Alvare, Gordie Grellia, Nikki Till Hoffay.
