Fred was born February 12, 1941 in Flint, Michigan to the late John and Thelma (Morgan) Muntin. He grew up in Clio, Michigan and graduated from Clio High School with the class of 1959. Fred went on to Central Michigan University where he played Collegiate Baseball and graduated with a Business Administration Degree. On June 9, 1962 he married his high school sweetheart, Arlone Fuller in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan and they just celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary. Prior to his retirement, Fred was part owner and President of Johnson Carbide with over 40 years of service. He was a former member of the Clio Country Club and enjoyed golfing. He liked bowling, playing and watching baseball, scratching off lottery tickets and going to the casino. However his greatest joy in life was watching his grandchildren's activities. The family would like to thank Dr. Ethiraj Raj MD (cardiologist) for giving Fred so many extra years with us. Also, a special thank you to Dr. Parul Sud, MD, FACP for her years of compassionate care.
Surviving are: Wife, Arlone Muntin; Children, Steven Muntin, Nanette (Anthony) Muntin-Whyte, Bradley (Jana) Muntin; Grandchildren, Alexa (Brad), Conor, Parker, Preston, Chloe, Jack, Allison (Nate), Anna, Lexi; Great Grandchildren, Aiyanna, Kyler, Jayden; Brother, Walter Muntin; several nieces and nephews.
