Conway.... Joseph John Petrosino, age 84, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2022.
Mr. Petrosino was born in Amsterdam, New York, a son of Alphonso and Rose Scafidi Petrosino. He was a graduate of the University of Illinois, class of 1962 and of State University of New York, Cortland Class of 1961. Mr. Petrosino was a member of St. James Catholic Church and was a past member of the Knights of Columbus in New York. Prior to retirement, he was employed by New York State Government, Division for Youth after 30 years of service and had previously been employed by Lakeside School for Troubled Youth. Mr. Petrosino was the founder of the Carolina's Chapter of New York State Public Employees Association. He was a U.S. Army National Guard veteran. Mr. Petrosino loved his wife and family. He enjoyed working with children and youth and loved being helpful to others.
Surviving are: his wife, Kathleen Louise Painter Petrosino of Conway; two sons, Joseph A. Petrosino (Susan) of Albany, NY and Michael J. Petrosino of Myrtle Beach; two grandchildren, Jonathan Petrosino and Rachel Petrosino; and one sister, Mary Rockenstyre (Michael) of Punta Gorda, FL.
A memorial services will be held at a later date.
The family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to James Girzone of Troy, New York and Patricia Millus of Conway.

So sorry for your loss. Joe was a co-worker with my husband Bill in the Division for Youth in Albany. We were friends in Clifton Park for many years and enjoyed some fun get-togethers in Florida and Conway. He will be missed by many.

I´m so sorry for your loss at this time! I was Joe´s barber for the last seven years and he is one special man him and Kay have treated me with the best and kindest of hearts and I´m so sorry that Joe is gone my heart is just broken! But I´ll always remember Joe and how he always asked about our dogs and how he loved the dogs and he gave dogs treats I will always remember him and I will continue to help Kay as much as I can in her need to get her hair done! I´ll miss you Joe and I love you Kay!
