Karen L. Hopkins, 79, of Saegertown, passed away Friday morning February 7, 2025, in Embassy of Park Avenue.
She was born on April 28, 1945, a daughter of Donald and Helen (Kelyman) Hornstein.
She was a 1963 graduate of Linesville Conneaut Summit High School and on January 2, 1988, Karen married Stanley F. Hopkins, VMD he passed away May 23, 2012.
She was a very active member of New Beginnings Church of God.
Karen enjoyed cooking, traveling, and socializing with friends.
She was the owner/operator of Cuts and Curls by Karen for many years.
She is survived by three children, Kristin Hopkins and her husband Scott LeMaster of Pittsburgh, Stanley Hopkins, Jr. and his wife Margaret of Phoenix, AZ, Stacey Joslin and her husband Paul of Saegertown; eight grandchildren, Andrew Hopkins, Matthew Hopkins, Alexandria Joslin and her husband Derrick, Jordan Turner and his wife Brittni, Kendra Siever and her husband Matt, Faith Joslin, Maria Hildebran and her husband Tanner, and Eryn Joslin; five great grandchildren; a brother Dale Hornstein and his wife Sharon of Chestertown, MD; a son-in-law, Kevin Turner of Guys Mills. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Kimberly Turner, son David Davis, and a brother Donald Hornstein.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday 2-11-25 at 1:00 PM in New Beginnings Church of God, 13226 Leslie Rd., Meadville with Rev. Curtis Clark, Pastor of the church officiating. Family and friends will be received at the church on Tuesday 2-11-25 from 11:00 AM until the time of service. Arrangements have been entrusted to ROSE AND WAID FUNERAL HOME, 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Harmonsburg.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to New Beginnings Church of God, 13226 Leslie Rd., Meadville, PA 16335, Yolanda G. Barco Oncology Institute, 16792 Conneaut Lake Rd. Meadville, PA 16335 or an animal shelter of one’s choice.
