Linda Charlotte Leidig

Linda C. Leidig, 81, of Chambersburg went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 4, 2023. She was born November 18, 1941 in Chambersburg, the daughter of the late Belle Linn (Brinkerhoff) and Harry Shockey.
A graduate of CASHS, Linda worked many years for State Farm Insurance Agency. She was also a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church and a member of the Charles Nitterhouse Post #1599 V.F.W.
She enjoyed gardening, relaxing on her backyard patio, trips to Rehoboth Beach, reading, shopping and especially spending time with her family, friends and pets. Linda had a very kind heart, a wonderful sense of humor, a generous nature and will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Tracy Nelson; five grandchildren: Samantha Nelson, Todd (Samantha) Leidig Jr., Jennifer Leidig, Kate (Jason) LoVerdi, Maureen (Ryan) Smith and ten great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Leidig; son, Todd Leidig; grandson, Colton Nelson; and brother, Gary Shockey. A memorial service will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Sellers Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Dianne Salter officiating. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
