Lisa Beth Langdon, 44, of Independence, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 7, 2023, in Richmond.
Lisa was born on May 31, 1979, in Honolulu, HI, the daughter of Randy and Susie (Vannattan) Langdon.
Survivors include: her parents, Randy & Susie Langdon of Rayville; son, Lathaniel Ward of Liberty; two brothers, Randall (Jami) Langdon, Jr. of Arizona and Daniel Vannattan of Richmond; sister, Cathy Langdon of Rayville; and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Taylor and Catherine Vannattan, and paternal grandparents, Emmitt and Jeanne McMillian Langdon.
Lisa was reared and educated in the Richmond area, graduating from Richmond High School in 1998. She worked at Fiskars in Excelsior Springs and at the Lake City Ammunition Plant in Independence. Lisa had an immense love for animals, enjoyed playing video games, and being around people. She loved to be sarcastic, had a great sense of humor, and was known for her smile and laughter.
Lisa Beth Langdon was one in a million. Not just because of her red hair and blue eyes, but because she was amazing. She was always so funny, although sometimes inappropriate. She was the life of every party. Lisa cared. She cared so much. She loved her family and always tried to make sure each generation was doing better than the last. She also loved her coworkers, just as her coworkers loved her. Lisa loved spending time with her friends. If you were her friend, you know you have a story to tell. She especially loved her "framily"- her best friends who became family. Lisa was passionate about animals. She loved her cats, 21-year-old "Poofy Lou Lou" and Karly Langdon. She also loved her dog, Jigsaw Lee, who was known for his golden booty. Lisa's favorite hobby was playing video games. She enjoyed playing on her Xbox, PlayStation, and PC. She also loved nice trucks, the fancier the better. She was very passionate about the outdoors. She enjoyed camping, canoeing, and riding her bike. Lisa's favorite loves were the Kansas City Chiefs, warm Budweiser red, and her only child, Lathaniel Dalton. Lisa will be missed dearly by all her family and friends.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Lisa Beth Langdon Memorial Fund. They can be left at or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home, 507 East Main Street-P.O. Box 190, Richmond, MO 64085.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond.
