Lois Wheeler

ARLINGTON - On Sept. 16, 2023, Lois Wheeler passed away peacefully at age 81. Lois was the mother of two children. However, many people considered Lois their surrogate mother.
When Lois's children were young, the phrase "stay-at-home-mom" didn't exist. It was usual for women to stay home with children while their husbands worked. But even by the standards of the era, Lois was an exceptional wife and mother. She cared deeply for her family.
Lois and her husband Robert "Dean" Wheeler resided in Lucasville, Ohio up until 1984 when they moved to Monahans, Texas, where Dean worked in the oilfield and Lois took care of the family. They moved to Benbrook, Texas in 2014 to be closer to their daughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean.
Lois is survived by her daughter, Kim Wheeler of Fort Worth; son, Mark Wheeler and wife, Kelly of Benbrook; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The family would like to thank all the care givers from S.W. Veranda-O'Dave, Suzette and Bonny. The loving care she received was second to none. Also, the amazing nurses from Anointed Hospice, Kim and Christina there is a special place in heaven for you.
Memorial Service: Will be held for Lois and Dean at Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly, Ohio on Nov. 6, 2023, at 11 a.m. followed by a graveside at Bailey Chapel Cemetery in Wakefield, Ohio.
