Marjorie E. Davis

Marjorie E. Davis, age 98, peacefully passed away Saturday, September 28, 2024.
Beloved wife of the late Edward L. Davis; loving mother of Gary L. (Marjorie); cherished grandmother of Michael L. Davis and Sarah L. Hennequant (Craig); dearest great-grandmother of Maxwell L. Davis, and Annabelle and Ava Hennequant; dear aunt of numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews; loving former mother-in-law and dear friend of Paula Davis Fultz (Tom); and devoted friend to many others.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Emily (Bruker) Davis; and her brothers and sisters-in-law, Stewart, Norman (Mae), and Warren (Fannie).
Marjorie had worked in various administrative roles at several law and business offices throughout her career. She later cared for others' needs as a medical assistant and capped off her career as a dental assistant for Dr. Resnick in Parma for many years.
She had been a longtime member and volunteer at Trinity Episcopal Church in Cleveland. An avid reader and book lover, Marjorie had also volunteered at the Cuyahoga County Public Library - Parma-Ridge Branch and with the Women's Pre-Release Program, where she taught reading.
Marjorie was a very extroverted person, and could also be opinionated. She acted frequently as an unofficial "consumer advocate", who never hesitated to reach out to companies when their products weren't as promised!
She also had a softer side that showed in her love of animals, especially dogs. One of her most cherished pets had been a German Shepherd named Prince. Her creative side shone brightly in her thespian days in high school and later in her flower gardening, and crafts like cross stitch, quilting and other needlework. She loved to travel, meet new people, and collect antiques on her adventures.
