RICHTER, Marjorie M. (Shick) – of Montrose, age 85, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Friday, March 31, 2023. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 1PM Thursday, April 13, 2023, at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Thursday from 11AM until the time of service at 1PM. Private Inurnment in Montrose Township Cemetery.
Marjorie was born July 25, 1937, in Flint, Michigan to the late Russell and Fern (Fent) Shick. She graduated from Montrose High School in 1955. Marjorie married David Richter on April 26, 1958, in Montrose. He preceded her in death on September 23, 2016. She was employed with Farm Bureau Insurance in Montrose for over 30 years. Over the years, Marjorie had many hobbies and joys, some of which were bowling, gardening, canning, and playing cards, especially – rummy, and euchre. She also enjoyed taking car rides to Tawas - a favorite destination of hers and going shopping to find a good deal. Above all, Marjorie loved being surrounded by her family.
Surviving are: Daughters: Diane Grim, and Sharon (Chris) Hart; Son, Larry (Sue) Richter - all of Montrose; Grandchildren: Michelle, Marci (Larry), Kelly (Nathan), Brandon (Jordyn), Andrea (Brian), Courtney (Josh), and Brooke; Great grandchildren: Karley, Erin, Daniel, Olivia, Logan, Colton, Weston, Addilynn, Wyatt, Brynlee, and Evelyn; Great-great grandchildren: Emmett, and Kaizon. Marjorie was also preceded in death by: Grandson, Larry Richter Jr.; Brothers: Charles, and baby boy Shick.
