Melanie Diane Henry of Tushka, Oklahoma passed from this life on Monday, August 21, 2023 at the age of 52. She was born on Monday, May 10, 1971 in Durant, Oklahoma.
She was a longtime resident of Bryan County, Oklahoma. She married her husband Eddie Henry on September 18, 2020 in Durango, Colorado.
She enjoyed being outdoors and liked to sit on her front porch drinking coffee, gardening plants and flowers, camping, traveling, cooking, watching Hallmark, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Joe Shults, Mable Perrin, Don Herron, Don Foster, Johnny and Betty McMichael.
Survivors include her husband Eddie Henry; children Kenton Stanley and wife Padyn of Calera, Oklahoma, Kenslie Flores and husband Bryant of Durant, Oklahoma, Sekret Henry of Tushka, Oklahoma, Harley Henry of Mead, Oklahoma; mother Diane and father Dale Perrin of Durant, Oklahoma; father Mike Herron and wife Suzy of Durant, Oklahoma, father Larry McMichael of Caddo; brothers Blake Large of Colorado, Josh Perrin and wife Melissa of Durant, Oklahoma, Taylor Herron of Dallas, Texas, Trevor Herron of Durant, Oklahoma, Landon McMichael of Caddo, Oklahoma; sister Marla McMichael of Caddo, Oklahoma; grandchildren Dally Kae Stanley, Sutton Stanley, Brecken Delay, Sterling Flores – who is on his way; grandparents Geneva Shults, Sherry Herron, Martha Foster as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.
A family visitation will be held from 6:00 – 7:00PM on Friday, August 25, 2023 at Gordon Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Fusion Bible Church. A graveside service will follow at Highland Cemetery in Durant, Oklahoma. The family will serve as pallbearers.
