His Legacy Michael Patrick Brady, 72, passed away August 9, 2023, after a long fight with cancer. He was born on September 2, 1950, in Detroit, Michigan to James Brady and Audrey (Randolph) Brady. Michael married the love of his life, Joan (Flack) Brady, on November 14, 1969, in Livonia, Michigan. Michael was an Army veteran and served in Vietnam. He was a very proud American and won several awards for volunteering his time to Veterans. He worked very frequently with the Daughters of the Revolution. Michael was an extremely talented artist; his drawings were so good that he became a combat artist during his time in Vietnam, with his work being featured in military magazines. He was incredibly creative and restored many classic cars. Michael loved his Volkswagens and Ford Model T's. Michael was very kind, sentimental and generous. He had many friends whom he loved. He would do anything to help someone. Michael was quick-witted and always enjoyed a good laugh. He had beautiful blue eyes that always had a twinkle in them. His nieces and nephews thought he was "the coolest Uncle". Michael had a love for dogs, especially chihuahua's and german shepherds. Michael was cherished by his family and friends and will be dearly missed.
His Family Michael will be missed by his siblings, Mary Brady, Kathleen Thornton, Maureen Brady, Coleen North, Daniel (Julie) Brady, Sheila (Douglas) Oliver; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Joan Brady; and parents, James and Audrey Brady.

Dearest Mike, I can't believe you've been gone for 2 years now. Not a day goes by that I don't think about you. I miss and love you so much . I'm coming up to Michigan this weekend so that I can visit your gravesite on your birthday September 2nd. Love, Mary

Dear Brother Mike, I can't believe it's been a year since you left this world to a better place. I think about you every day. Your good buddies Doug and Venessa helped to get me some photos and your Army / POW Memorial from your backyard, which I now have in my backyard along with the American Flag. Your memorial lights up at night to help me smile all day long. Thank God for so many fond memories. Love, Mary

Mike was a good friend and as interesting of a person as you would ever meet. He confided in me for a lot of technical advice for his automotive paint projects and we had fun at some car shows over the years. I will truly miss him, his humor, and his creative soul. Rest in peace Mike. You were one of the best in so many ways.

Mike never ceased to amaze me. He was a multi talented genius on many levels. Artist, mechanical. Humanitarian, activist, he could do just about anything he put his mind to. He loved ice cream!! He was not shy when ice cream was available! I loved him as my brother, I will miss him terribly, but so very glad he was in my life .
