Michael Dowdy Obituary

In his life he was a lover of nature and science, mountain climber, railroad enthusiast, salesman, golfer, Freemason, Shriner, skeet shooter, and disciple of Jesus.
Michael was the beloved husband of Susan Dowdy and cherished father to his daughter, Katie Taylor, and father-in-law to Will Taylor. His role as "Granddaddy" to Hannah, George, and Micah was one of his greatest joys.
Predeceased by his parents and his sister, Donna Thomas, Michael's memory will be held in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
A celebration of life is planned for Monday, December 23, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Church of the Good Shepherd in Washington, NC. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children.

I don´t have any specific memories of Michael (though my memory could easily be jarred by others and then I could gab the day away) but whenever I think of my brother (yes...brother) I have nothing but a smile upon my face.
