Michael William Ebeling

Ebeling, Michael William Age 47, of Chanhassen, died at home May 31, 2022. He is loved and dearly missed by his wife, JoAnna; two sons, Finley (16) and Milo (12); parents, Brian and Miriam; brother, Pat (Beth); sister, Kristine (Regan); in-laws, John and Carol Olson; and brothers-in-law, Tom (Alyssa) and Mike (Tera). Michael was born Feb. 9, 1975, in Bloomington and graduated from Jefferson High School and UW-Madison. He most recently worked as a cloud architect for Abbott Labs. JoAnna and Michael shared a love of movies, and each kept the ticket stubs from those they saw together. Michael enjoyed coaching his boys in soccer and proudly encouraged all their interests. He played the guitar and loved live music, especially the band Phish, whose shows he travelled the country to see for 25 years. Michael could be happy in isolation or disappearing in a crowd. He holds the (unofficial) record for fist bumps of different people at a single music festival. Once, on a stormy night in Alabama, he took his turn steering the universe. Everyone he encountered experienced his big beard, but the lucky ones also experienced his big personality and his big hugs. He is and will be missed. Visitation only-Sat.
