Obituary of Monica Mulholland
Monica was born in Ireland in 1945-#6 of 8 children.
She came to America at age 1 7, and became a US citizen after 5 years.
Monica was a really brave woman - venturing around the globe to start a new life in NY at 17, then moving across the country to Texas, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee and Arkansas throughout her career for her work with various companies.
In addition to advancing her career, Monica was always working on her education, graduating from University of Tennessee @ Chattanooga with her Bachelor's degree along with many professional certifications in purchasing. She finished her career as Chief Operations Officer handling logistics for a multinational cosmetics brush company in Atlanta, having made multiple trips to China to oversee operations.
Whatever company Monica worked for, turned to " gold
Monica collected friends everywhere she went. The boss that encouraged her to apply to get out of typing pool and into purchasing in the 1970's was still best of friends 50 years later. Not only friends, but part of the family. She had been to the weddings of all 5 of his girls and some of his grandchildren. Her neighbor from the 1980s in Florida, drove an hour to meet her and give her a place to stay 4 years ago when she was lost and confused in Orlando.
Monica was the most gifted storyteller and could make you cry from laughing so hard whether it be the crazy coworker who snored at his desk or the neighbor who lied to her husband to hide the fact that she scratched his new Cadillac when she was not supposed to be driving it.
Monica always remembered from whence she had came, and reached out to many individuals who came from other countries as well as Ireland and assisted them with their English and writing skills. She believed in "giving back".
She grew up loving God and maintained her "Love of God throughout her life."
She let God guide her business decisions-that's why she was so successful!
Monica never married, nor had any children of her own, but her nieces and nephews were her children, including her 2 GodChildren, plus all those she "adopted as her other children". She loved her siblings and extended family members equally, she simply loved them all, and would visit them frequently no matter where they lived.
The Love that she had for her parents and she held that special love throughout her life.
Monica, We will miss you and always love you.
Love back to you from your family and many friends.
