Robert "Bob" Dietrich Gray, EDD, Retired Lieutenant Colonel US Air Force, 88, of Bonner Springs, KS passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021 at his home. Graveside Funeral Services will be at 12:30 PM, Tuesday, January 4, at the Leavenworth National Veterans Administration Cemetery in Leavenworth, KS. The family has suggested memorial contributions to Wounded Warriors in care of the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home. Bob was born January 5, 1933 in Granite City, IL. Bob received his Undergraduate Degree from St. Louis University and his Master's in Business Administration and Masters of Education in Warrensburg, MO, and his Doctorate from Nova University in Florida. He served in the US Air Force in Korea and in the USAF Reserves, retiring as a Lt Col. Bob had a rich and varied career. He was a professional saxophonist, and became an Assistant Administrator at St. Luke's Hospital. Later, he was CEO of Crittenton Mental Health Facility for children, and he was an adjunct professor at Southern Illinois University and at Webster University. Bob was a member of the White House Conference on Productivity in 1984 through 1986 under the Reagan administration. Bob was also honored by being awarded a Lifetime Membership in the Society of Healthcare Resource Management. Bob is survived by his wife of 65 years Wandola F. Gray of the home, one son Kermit Gray also of the Home, one sister Judith Halbert and one grandnephew Brad Halbert both of Noblesville, IN.
