Robert E. (Bob) Terhune of Oklahoma City, OK passed away on November 23, 2022.
Bob was born in Eakly, OK on March 7, 1936. He graduated from Ponca Military Academy (PMA), Ponca City, OK in 1953 and went on to eventually receive a Bachelor of Science from Central State University (UCO), Edmond, OK.
Bob married Troivette on March 25, 1978, and they were married 44 years.
After Bob graduated from PMA, he worked for an office supply company in Ponca City until 1957. He then moved to Breaux Bridge, LA to continue a career in sales and eventually went to work for Hughes Tool Co and lived in Eunice, LA. In 1964, he made the decision to move home to Oklahoma City and take a job with the Oklahoma City Police Department where he spent 20 years in law enforcement doing a job he truly loved. After retiring he spent three years in banking and decided he was going to work every day to a job he didn't have a passion for, so he went back into law enforcement at the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation where he retired after 17 years of service. He then spent 4 years doing private investigations for various oil companies. Having knowledge of the oilfield, Bob specialized in oilfield investigation. He made many friends across the country and was very respected in this field of law enforcement.
Bob was a private pilot and enjoyed flying his plane for several years until his health prevented him from having a license. He was an avid reader and enjoyed wood working as well.
Bob was a member of St Marks Catholic Church. He was also a member of the PMA Alumni Association, the Knights of Columbus, Fraternal Order of Police, Retired Police Officers Association and Retired OSBI Employees Association.
Bob loved to entertain friends and family with stories of his life experiences and could spend hours sharing them. One story even gave him his nickname Bingo. He was also famous for his quips and colorful sayings. Every Wednesday Bob could be found at his favorite gun range with his friends where they exchanged more stories and went to lunch.
The one thing family and friends will remember about Bob is his biscuits and crawfish stew. Many have tried to duplicate them, but they never measured up to his.
Bob is survived by his wife Troivette of the home, son Tom Terhune (Sandee) Moore, OK, daughter Terri Burks Cedar Valley, OK, son Tim Terhune (Michelle) Oklahoma City, OK and son TJ Roesler (Dana) Oklahoma City, OK, 10 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren and many extended family and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents Lee Thomas Terhune and Ruby Martha Terhune, brothers Raymond Terhune, Frank Terhune, Raymond Bartgis, Doyle Bartgis and sister Nellie Ecton.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's, Toys for Tots, or St. Vincent de Paul.

Bob was a truly wonderful person that I enjoyed being around. He helped me with several investigations in Oklahoma, all successful. He´s going to be missed.
