Ronald Lee James, 66, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on December 29, 2022 at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born on September 23, 1956 in Jeffersonville, Indiana son of Clifton and Kathleen (Halter) James. Ronnie worked for the City of Jeffersonville for over 30 years and then eventually retired from Crunchers Company in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He was a United States Army veteran and enjoyed golfing, camping, was very mechanical and loved spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents Ronnie was preceded in death by a step son, Nathan Gilbert; brothers, Butch, Lawrence and Duke James. He is survived by his son, Chase James(Brittany); daughter, Sabrina Alvey; step daughter, Amanda Gilbert; sisters, Connie Coffey(Doug), Lucille Nichols; brother, Steven James(Carol) along with 9 grandchildren, Thea, Laila, Adelynne, Caleb, Alyssa, Leahonna, Natalia, Savannah, Tayler; along with many nieces and nephews.
There will be a visitation held on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 from 4-8pm at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130. Service will be on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at 12pm with more visitation before from 10-12pm at Legacy Funeral Center.
