KATHERINE A. DUGAN, 99 passed away on Monday, November 3, 2025.
She was born Katherine A. Weaver in Jeffersontown, Kentucky on February 18, 1926, the daughter of the late, Robert and Mary Emma Weaver.
Katherine was retired from Jones Plastic where she worked in public relations. She was the oldest member of the First Baptist Church – Jeffersontown where she served as a musician; and was a choir member and Sunday school teacher for many years. Katherine volunteered at nursing homes where she played for their church services. She was very creative with floral design and did the arrangements for many weddings over the years.
Preceding her in death were her husband, John William Hamilton Dugan; her parents; her sisters, Georgia Moore, Nannie Mae Ballard and Martha Jean Weaver; and brothers, Robert Palmer Weaver and James Weaver..
Survivors include her godson, Bryan Stivers, whom she considered to be her "son" and who also cared for her; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at First Baptist Church, 10600 Watterson Trail, Jeffersontown, KY.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home – Jeffersontown, 10600 Taylorsville Road and after 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at her Church prior to service time.
Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens, Mt. Washington, KY.
