Hester Loretta Yeater Dugan, 84, lost her 27-year battle with Parkinson's disease on November 7, 2025.

The memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM, November 15, 2025, at Immanuel Baptist Church (815 Meadow Dr, New Martinsville, WV 2615). Immediately following the memorial service, a luncheon will be served in the church's fellowship hall. After lunch, burial will be at Jolliffe Cemetery in Silver Hill, WV (7974 Fairview Ridge Road, New Martinsville, WV).

Loretta was born in Silver Hill, WV, on September 5, 1941, to Herbert A. and Beulah (Mason) Yeater.

Loretta worked as a computer programmer and customer service agent for Braniff Airlines for over 20 years in Dallas, TX. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was also actively involved in Oak Grove Methodist Church, Georgetown, SC, and Georgetown Helping Hands.

Loretta was preceded in death by husband, William E Dugan III; son, William E Dugan IV; parents, Herbert A. and Beulah Yeater; sister, Rowenna Morris; grandson, Kevin Clegg; and great-grandson, Kaden Clegg.

Loretta is survived by daughter, Deitra Lynn Dugan Clegg; son-in-law, Ronald Dale Clegg; grandsons, Richard (Abbey) Clegg, Shayne (Elizabeth) Clegg, William (Katherine) Dugan V; bonus granddaughters, Kacee Cook, Jamie Sloan, and Victoria Spencer; 23 great-grandchildren; and many beloved family and friends.

Loretta's final wish was to contribute to the advancement of Parkinson's research through brain donation. Unfortunately, due to government funding cuts in medical research at the time of her passing, this could not be fulfilled. So, in lieu of flowers, please help fulfill Loretta's wish to advance Parkinson's research through a memorial donation to The Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
