Mr. Russell A. Baker

Russell Andrew Baker, passed away on July 5, 2024, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
Russell was born on December 12, 1933, in Mexico, Missouri to John and Myrtle (Meador) Baker. He was
preceded in death by both parents; two brothers, George Gibbs and James Baker; two sisters, Virginia Calloway and Helen Thompson.
Russell grew up in Mexico, Missouri.
Russell completed High School in Kansas City, Missouri. After high school Russell attended UMKC IN Kansas City, Missouri and KU in Lawrence, where Russell received a Bachelor of Science in Business and a master's degree in education.
Russell joined the US army and served in the Koren War and was the recipient of two good conduct medicals. He was honorable discharged on October 3, 1962. Achieving the rank of E3.
Russell began work for The Postal Service as an inspector, where he worked for 30 plus years before he retired.
Russell married Lillian March in 2018, in Raytown, Missouri and they were very happily married.
Russell enjoyed serving people, he will be missed those that loved him.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024, 11 am at the Linwood Chapel. Visitation from 10am-11am at the chapel. Interment Monday July 15, 2024, 9am Leavenworth National Cemetery, LVNKS.
