Sharon E. Krause, 75 of Zanesville, passed away on Friday January 24, 2025, at her residence.
She was born on February 20, 1949, in Zanesville, Ohio, daughter of the late Harry Moore and Eva Mae Ayers. Sharon was a member of the First Christian Church of Zanesville for many years as well as a youth advisor at Sonora United Methodist. She worked at Bethesda Hospital as an LPN for over 30 years, where she retired. In her spare time, she enjoyed needle pointing, square dancing, and playing softball. Above all, she loved watching her grandchildren's sporting events.
Sharon is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Paul Krause; 4 children: Heidi Kirby, Amy (Bryan) Bunting, Crystal Morris, Thaddeus (Misty Bradley) Krause; son-in-law, Lance Kirby; sister, Wanda Founds; 25 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; special family friend, Debbie Gray; lap companion, Hailey; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her great grandson, Korbin Dodson; brothers, Kenny Moore, Duane Moore, Russell Moore, Robert Moore; sister, Elsie Cronin; sister -in-laws, Kay Moore, Marcella Moore, Juanita Krause, Mary Krause; brothers-in-laws, Jim Cronin, Virgil Founds, Bud Krause, Sonny Krause; and mother-in-law, Helen Krause.
Calling hours will held on Monday January 27, 2025, from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM & 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will be held on Tuesday January 28, 2025, at 11:00 AM with Rev. Laureen Roe officiating. Burial will conclude services at Rich Hill Cemetery.
