Steven Glenn Robinson, 39, of Waynesville, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 21, 2024, in Waynesville.
Steven was born on May 29, 1985, to James William Robinson and Ginger Lee Parker Willis in Gastonia, NC. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; a maternal grandfather; father-in-law, James Messer; and a granddaughter, Chloe Kirkpatrick.
Steven never met a stranger and had an immense impact on anyone he encountered. He loved being outdoors and in the mountains of Western North Carolina, where he lived for the last sixteen years of his life. Steven previously resided in Clover, SC with his dad and second mom. He was a hard worker and devoted four years to Giles Chemical Plant where he worked as a machine-operator. He also enjoyed yardwork and grilling, and simply wiling away the hours with his soulmate, Lynne. He had a passion for motorcycles and was an avid collector of all things, insistent that he could find a use for any item in the future. In addition to his parents, Steven is survived by his life-partner of sixteen years, Lynn Messer; three daughters, Zoe Jade Bradley, Trinity Nicole Robinson, and Breona Medford; a son, Tyler Medford; a granddaughter, Sakani Hull; a second-mom, Rachel Conard; two brothers, Joey Robinson and Zack Buchanan; three sisters, Samantha, Stacie, and Logan; a maternal grandmother, Sally Thompson; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; several brother and sisters-in-law; his two fur-babies, Ruby and Cheech; and too many friends and "adopted" family members to name.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a late date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Smoky Mountain Cremations and Funeral Services to assist with the expenses of cremation services. Memorials may also be made to Haywood County Animal Shelter at 453 Jones Cove Rd, Clyde, NC 28721 or to The Bethel House at 1534 S. Main St., Waynesville, NC 28786.
