Teresa Enes, 77, died peacefully on August 1, 2022 at MidHudson Regional Hospital. She was a resident of Averill Park and previously lived in Mount Vernon for over 40 years.
Born in Spain on May 14, 1945, Teresa was the daughter of the late Argentino and Joaquina (Diaz) Fernandez. Teresa worked at factories, including Pico Electronics in Pelham, until she retired at age 65. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting, as well as gardening and cooking. She also loved soccer and her favorite teams were Real Madrid and Celta de Vigo. More than anything, she loved taking care of her family!
On August 22, 1964 in Cexo, Spain, Teresa married Manuel Enes who survives at home after almost 58 years of marriage. She is also survived by her children, Milagros Mendoza and her husband Humberto, Maria T. Enes, Rosa Esquiva and her husband Edison, Arlindo Enes and his wife Maria D., Florentina Casterella and her husband David, and Maria E. Beltran and her husband Daniel; her daughter-in-law, Linda Enes; her grandchildren, Jonathan and his wife Marissa, Ashley, Andres and his wife Tiffany, Caleb, Sebastian, "DJ", Joaquin, Matthew, Kaitlyn, and Natalie; her great-grandchildren, Michael, Kyler, and Talon; her siblings, Dolores Fernandez, Jose Manuel Fernandez, and Concha Fernandez; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Teresa was also predeceased by her son, Manuel (Lito) Enes who passed away on January 4, 2018.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday at 10 at St. Kateri Church, 1925 Route 82, LaGrangeville followed by burial at St. Henry's Cemetery in Averill Park.
