Terry Blaine Luttenegger passed away peacefully on February 9, 2022, at the age of 65 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Beloit, WI on December 4, 1956, to Richard and Elaine (Taeger) Luttenegger, Terry spent his early years living in Burlington, IA and graduated from Burlington Community High School. After attending Burlington's Southeastern Community College, Terry graduated from Iowa State University with a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering. In March of 1980, he began his career at Wisconsin Public Service, working in both Green Bay, WI and Menominee, MI. He made many lifelong friendships before retiring after 33 years in March of 2014.
During this time, Terry built a loving family with his wife, Terri Winter, who he married on October 6, 1984, at St. Patrick's Church in Iowa City, IA. Terry was a supportive and caring father to his three children, staying involved in their lives by coaching sports teams as well as by sharing his hobbies, which included woodworking, cross country skiing and photography. Terry loved to be outdoors, instilling his passion for nature in his children during countless family trips and adventures.
An active person who was generous with his time and talents, Terry was always willing to lend a hand to friends with various projects. When he wasn't helping out or sharing a beer with his loved ones, Terry enjoyed spending time at the cabin he built in Marinette County, WI, especially in retirement, where he gathered with friends and kept busy with his many pastimes.
Terry is survived by his mother, Elaine Luttenegger, and siblings Kevin (Demaris) Luttenegger, Angie (Rocky) Turner, and Brian Luttenegger. Terry is also survived by his wife, Terri Winter, and children Brock (Melody), Bryce and Kyra Luttenegger. He also has one grandchild, Mason, as well as nieces, Erika and Abby, and nephews, Kyle and Levi. Terry is preceded in death by his father, Richard Luttenegger.
Terry was surrounded by loved ones who will strive to honor his memory by living their lives to the fullest, working hard and giving to others, just as Terry did for those who knew him best.
The Luttenegger family would like to thank everyone for all your prayers and support during this time. We would like to especially thank the staff at Green Bay Oncology and Unity hospice for their guidance and care.
A memorial service to celebrate Terry's life will be held at Nativity of Our Lord parish (2270 S. Oneida St, Green Bay, WI) on Friday, February 18, 2022, at 11:00 am with Fr. Matt Simonar officiating.
