Wayne Edward Fritz II "Eddie" was born on October 25, 1958 in Monett, MO to Wayne and Helen (Johnson) Fritz. Eddie passed away at Mercy hospital in Springfield, MO on August 5, 2022 at 63 years of age with his loving wife by his side.
He married Victoria Jean Henderson (Vickey) on July 4, 2015 in Branson, MO at Dogwood Chapel. They built a home in the city of Monett, MO until they moved to the Homestead to be closer to his parents as well as take care of the place. Eddie worked for Glassrock Medical until he began his own medical equipment repair business known as Midwest Medical Repair in Blue Springs, MO. Then in May 2011, his greatest professional achievement ever was born, known as ReO2. In the beginning, he worked with Matt Banks and Richard Seiferd with Core Investments LLC until July 2016, when Eddie and Vickey became sole proprietor of ReO2. Eddie and Vickey grew ReO2 into a very successful business from the shop they built on the Homestead. He always said that he had the longest commute to work.LOL, just across the driveway. He loved what he did helping other people anyway he could with his business. Eddie also LOVED his cars as all his family and friends can attest to over the years. He loved taking his 68 Camaro down the track for a couple of passes, then down to Hooters for cruise night and to have a few beers. His love of cars and motorcycles continued throughout the years with his 2002 Z06 Corvette, 2003 Harley Davidson Night Train, and his 1998 Chevy Pickup called Betty Boop. His cherished favorite hot rod that he could not wait to take down the track with Harry, Donald, Steve and many other friends, was his 1966 Chevelle (Aztec Bronze).
He was preceded in death by his Grandparents Ed and Irene (Quade) Fritz, and Elmer and Alta (Plank) Johnson, Uncle Elmer (Bud) Johnson, Uncle Jerry Fritz, Uncle Bill Medlin, Aunt Mary Ellen Fortney, Aunt Nellie Fritz, Cousin Russell Fritz, Cousin Lydia Ann Fritz, Mother-in-law Dorothy Henderson and Sister-in-law Retha Henderson.
He is survived by his parents Wayne and Helen Fritz, his loving wife Vickey Fritz, and his two children that he adored and loved dearly his son Jonathan Edward Fritz and wife Sarah of Odessa, MO, and his daughter Valerie Rose Fritz and partner Clayton of Las Vegas, NV and their mother Heather Colliver (Lamb). Two step daughters Carissa LeeAnn Bolen and husband Ken of Burleson, TX, and Stephanie Renee Moten and husband Joseph of Temecula, CA. Twelve grandchildren who adored him: Hayli, Logan, Grace, Sahmara, Kennedy, Reagan, Samuel, Levi, Noah, Pharaoh, Mathew, and Sultan. His Aunt Sondra Zearly and husband AJ of Kansas City, MO, Aunt Cynthia McCubbin and husband Reed of Raytown, MO, Aunt Elner Medlin of Springfield, MO, Uncle Jim Johnson (JJ) of Monett, MO, Uncle John Fritz and wife June of Monett, MO, along with many cousins, great friends (gear heads) that he cherished the many memories, especially the racing ones and people he worked with in the medical repair business. Eddie always joked that he wanted to change his name to Jake Henry Fritz.so he gave that name to his best friend and workmate, his beloved dog, Jake Henry.
Your infectious smile and laughter will always be held in our hearts. We know you will always be watching over us from the big drag strip above. I will always love you bunches honey bun!
