This is not the best picture as it was taken from a video. He was shaking his head and laughing at me while I was dancing. Miss his smile and miss him. Rest in paradise.

I was colleagues with Tyler through middle and high school and played freshman football and track and filed with him at DSHS. Tyler was bright and always had something to say. I will miss his comforting voice and and running the 4x100 relay with him.

I´ll never forget Spring Break 2009, when I visited Tyler in LA. We had some great times during our 13 years of friendship and he will be truly missed.

I went to look him up recently and learned of his passing. He didn´t seem himself when I saw him in 2017 in New York and we fell out of touch shortly after.

I hope his family and friends find peace in knowing that he was deeply loved by all who knew him.

Miss you buddy

I was just thinking about Tyler yesterday and saw a young man with a striking resemblance to him working in a store in Columbus OH. I talk about Tyler regularly to many people and fondly remember fun times I have had with his family and/or when I babysat him. I treated him as though he were my son too. I miss him and still say Happy Birthday to him on Sept. 10. Peace and blessings!!

With all my love..

To Tyler's family I send my deepest sympathy and condolences. It's been a long time since I've seen him run out of 5th Ave. Elementary School and hop in his Grandma Joenita's car. I know he was a delight and blessing to her and his father. May you find comfort knowing he is now with the Lord.

Tyler was one of the most memorable students I've had in 29 years of teaching art. His Charisma, Kindness and Talent were second to none. Tyler could fill a room with his presence, his infectous laughter and his love for people. He was compassionate, empathetic and was loved by all. He made everything he was involved in better. It's funny that, as his art teacher, these are the things that come to mind when I think of Tyler... not his incredible artwork, but the amazing human being he was.

Spaeaking of his art, it was like nothing I've ever seen. He had an unquenchable thirst for architecture and design. His masterpieces came from his imagination, never using reference photo's or even observation. Never in Scioto's rich art tradition has someone accomplished more with simply what was in his heart.

I'm so grateful I got to spend a short time with Tyler in his time at Dublin Scioto High School. My deepest condolences go to his family and freinds. Rest in Peace Tyler Rankin

Dear family: I will always hold those memories of Tyler as an infant during my teen years, and as a burgeoning artist even in his early childhood. He was such a beautiful, gentle child who, I am sure, grew into a beautiful, gentle man. I am so sorry that this has happened. I am praying for you, Keith and Toia, and for you, Tyler's brothers and sister, and for Mr. and Mrs. Lynch and the rest of the family. Nothing nothing nothing can make this feel better, but please know that Tyler mattered and he was loved.

I'll always love my Tyler. As he was growing up over the years, I loved him like a son. Every year on Sept. 10, I thought of him & wished him a 'Happy Birthday'. I was so sad when I heard of his passing on Jan. 10. I'll cherish many fond memories. One such memory was going to ATL and eventually hanging out at the Magic Kingdom (Disney World). On behalf of the Carter Family, may he rest in peace.
