Andrea--I never had the opportunity to meet you, but Ernie and I were best friends from about 1959 until 1964. We worked on many of the same projects at IBM, we bowled together, we played city league softball together, and we often ate out together. He was a very bright and creative engineer and he encouraged me in many ways. I left IBM in 1964 to pursue a teaching career, but we stayed in contact for several years. He was a unique and talented individual that cared about helping other people such as me and my wife and family. I think of him often.

Andrea,

My heart aches for you. Ernie is special, and always will be to me. From my trip out there, going all over California with both of you, to the trip to the Magic Castle, the trips when Ernie came to Pa; the dinners, the magic shows, the laughter and how he could never get over how much I talk!!
Those memories will always be with me, and for that I am so grateful.
My thoughts and prayers to you, always!
