Dearest Mike and family,
Alice was an extraordinary neighbor and volunteer at Melmark. I remember her first phone call seeking volunteer opportunities for her children. Many of you volunteered in the pool, gym, therapeutic riding programs and special events. Alice was not only your mother, but she became mother to Patrick and the many special adults at Pines. Alice was kind, thoughtful, loyal and a fierce advocate for people with disabilities.
Mike and Alice served as co-chairs and committee members for Melmark's Dream Maker's Ball. We will always be grateful for your heart for philanthropy and your leadership that inspired others to support the cause so dear to your heart.
My heart is so sad, yet incredibly grateful to have known you and your family. I look forward to the day when we can all gather to remember and celebrate the life and legacy of someone so dearly loved. We will all be ready for a group hug.
Much love to you all,
Cyndie Martin

To the Batemans and the Doyles, I am so sorry for the loss of Alice. I have such a clear recollection of her charming and hilarious toast at my mom's (Mary Liz Boyle) 49th birthday lunch, held at Yang Ming in Bryn Mawr with all the ladies. Alice stood on a chair and read a poem that had the whole room in tears of laughter. I'll always be grateful for the joy in that room that day-mom's last birthday- with so many friends. Plus lots of good times in Longport and on the tennis court. Heaven is a more joyous place now that Alice is there. With love and prayers for you all, Lizann Boyle

So glad I got to meet this amazing woman at Rosie's wedding. I'm sure she leaves a big hole in your hearts for such a small but mighty person. Love and prayers to all the family as you celebrate her life and grieve her absence.

Remember the day she was born. Her brother Jack my best friend. Alice married my cousin John and then Mike Doyle one of the best. Will truly miss her. Yes she had a great dry sense of humor. Loved her. Ed. Kane

Mike Doyle- I am so saddened to learn about the passing of Alice, your beloved wife. Alice was such a kind, generous and charismatic human being. I knew Alice and her brothers from Germantown where The Scanlan Family lived in their lovely home. It was interesting that Alice's Husbands were Preppers taught by Urban Schmitt,my father. My Brothers,Ken and Rick were honored and blessed to have known such a fine and extraordinary woman.
"May Alice Scanlan Bateman Doyle Rest In Eternal Peace".

Your family is in my thoughts. Having worked with two of Alice's amazing daughters it's so evident what a strong and loving family she created. Hugs to you all.
