My sincere condolences to Judy, John and Melissa. Rich and I met at St Norbert's in grade school over 70 years ago. It was a different world then. We would be out all day in the summer, riding our bikes all over town, fishing, or later caring for his pigeons and releasing them at different locations and going back to his house on Kingwood street to make sure they made it home. I remember his mom always made us PB&J sandwiches.
Rich told me to apply for the Pittsburgh police force in 1969. I did and became a police officer and it changed the direction of my life leading me to Alaska as Security Superintendent for British Petroleum at Prudhoe Bay, Alaska in 1979. How fast the years go by.
I will miss my lifetime friend and pray that we meet again. God bless and may he rest in peace with his parents and brother Jack.
