Carolee Toon, 79, of Los Angeles, California, died peacefully at her home on August 5, 2016. Born 1937 in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was the daughter of Willis Ernst Toon and Helen Hannah Widmer Toon. Carolee graduated from Mariemont High School in 1958. She earned B.A. and M.A. degrees from California State University in Northridge, California and an M.F.A. degree from the Art Center College of Design in Pasedena, California. She had a distinguished career as an artist and professor at Woodbury University, California. Carolee was preceded in death by her parents and beloved son Ted, "Teddy," Parker, Jr. (Julie); former husband and life long friend Ted Parker; and sister Diana Kakos (Gerard). She is survived by her son Matthew Parker, sisters Winafred Walker, Julie Robb (Darby) and Sharon Pentland; grandchildren Brooke, Luke, Danny and Kendall and Linda Hudson, friend, and loving caretaker and by many nieces and nephews. A private memorial service will be held for Carolee in Cincinnati, Ohio. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund Alliance.
