Coach Bob Dunaway (Robert Winston) passed away on November 7, 2011 at the age of 83. Cremation. Memorial services were November 12, 2011 at the Wellsville Baptist Church. Memorials can be sent in his honor to Wellsville Baptist Church, P.O. Box 555, Wellsville, Ks 66092.He was the son of Jabus B. Dunaway and Emma Boyd Dunaway of Anguilla, MS.

After high school graduation, he joined the Navy and served from '46 to '48. His education included a B.S. degree in education from Mississippi College, and Master's degree in education from University of Southern Mississippi.

Coach Dunaway was involved in athletics and teaching for 28 years in numerous schools in Mississippi. He was president of Mississippi Coaches Association during this time. He still holds the honor of being one of Mississippi's most successful high school coaches.After retiring from coaching, he was instrumental in establishing a Christian school in Hattiesburg, MS and was the school's first principal.

He is survived by daughters Emma Shows (Robert) of Helena, AL, and Eva Kolosiek of Wellman, IA, sons Brian Dunaway (Amanda) of Wellsville, KS, Troy Dunaway (Kim) of Charlottesville, VA, and Shawn Shay of Wellsville, KS, 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, nieces Debbie Foley and Trish Fedrick, and brother Von B. Dunaway of Jackson, MS. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years Hallie Walker Dunaway, his parents, 10 siblings and 1 nephew, Hank Walker.
