I moved back to Boulder from Texas my 5th grade year and attended Mapleton elementary school. It was difficult being the new kid but that was short lived. Jake and I became fast friends and I will always cherish and remember that time .We would meet up on the weekends to skate and talk basketball. After school we would often go over to Jake's house to hang out and play more basketball. My 6th grade year,Jake's 5th we were especially tight. He was the type of person who made you feel like you were his best friend whenever you were around him.His energy, loyalty and sense of humor was infectious! My sincerest sympathies go out to Jake's family and friends - I know that he was very proud of his daughter ! I was lucky enough to reconnect with Jake on FB on and off over the past 10 years. Through Jake ,his brother Matthew and I have become closer friends and I consider him a brother.May the memories and love of Jake comfort you during your time of loss-
