Larry Franklin Parella, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, will be remembered as a dedicated and talented individual who brought joy to all who knew him. Born on July 5, 1950, in
Cleveland, Ohio, Larry passed away on June 10, 2025, at the David Simpson Hospice House, surrounded by love. He is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy M. Parella (nee Oberacker), and his four wonderful children: Desiree Lynne Parella Gordillo (Matt), Naomi Ann Szabo Butcher (Stephen), Selina Lynne Parella Mathur (Amit), and Jenna Eckstein Duggal (Sandeep). Larry's legacy continues through his beloved grandchildren: Adelina and Mateo Gordillo, Anastasia and Emerson Butcher, Dillon and Jaya Mathur, and Layla and Kaia Duggal; brother in laws Doug Oberacker (Laurie), Karl Oberacker (Portia) and former spouse Margot Eckstein (Jim). Larry was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Charlene Parella (nee Bowen) and his aunt Mary Stokes.Larry was a man of many talents and hard work. He found fulfillment as a pipefitter with Local 120 and later as a self-employed general contractor. He enjoyed the beauty of life while sailing on Lake Erie and traveling in his RV with Nancy, along with their cherished dogs, River and Lake. His generous spirit shone brightly as he dedicated himself to the care of his family and shared countless moments of joy and laughter.Private services will be held by the family to honor Larry's life.
