Gary Mahlon Woomer

Gary Mahlon Woomer, 72, of Downingtown, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2021 at his residence. Born in Altoona, Gary was the son of the late Arch Mahlon and Mary Elizabeth (Danvir) Woomer. He was the beloved husband to Linda Sue (Spohn) Woomer. The couple shared 52 years of marriage. Gary was of the Methodist faith. He proudly served in the US Army in Vietnam. He enjoyed golfing, boating, playing pool, a good game of poker and harassing his son-in-law. In addition to his wife, Gary is survived by his son, Jeffrey Woomer, husband of Tara, of Downingtown, and Tracey Blickos, wife of Andrew, of Coatesville. He is also survived by his sister, Kathy Lee Prater, and 5 granddaughters (Madison, Grace, Emma, Brooke and Teghan). A visitation will be held on Friday, March 12 from 1-2 PM at James J. Terry Funeral Home, Inc., 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown. It is kindly requested that all guests wear face coverings and practice social distancing.
