I was so blessed to have met and worked with Lamont over the past 3 years. Lamont gave me so much perspective on life, family and reminded me to live each day to the fullest. I mourn his passing and will miss him terribly. He loved his family so much and we often talked about how family was the most important thing in life. The world is a better place having had Lamont in it. God Bless those he leaves behind and I pray each day for your comfort and peace.

The Gossett Family sends their deepest condolences to The Barton Family members. It is with great respect for Lamont and the family that these writings are forwarded. Lamont's integrity, his joyful and positive view of life coupled with his respect for everyone around him truly serves as a example for others to emulate. These were just a few of the great attributes that he brought to classes and to the football field while playing for Columbus West and even as far back as The Westgate Hawks football program. May God grant him eternal life in heaven and keep Lamont by his side always. May the "Peace of Christ" be with each and every family member always.

Respectfully,
