FRANK SADLER Obituary
Frank Orin Sadler died on August 3rd at the age of 71 at his home in Tampa. He was born in Eustis, Florida, and was active in the Boy Scouts as a youth. He graduated from P. K. Yonge High School in 1958, the same year he won the state high school championship in the half-mile. He received B. A. and M. A. degrees in Education, and the Ph.D. in English from the University of Florida. He published both poetry and a book of literary criticism. He served his country in the United States Navy and his community as a teacher of English. He lived for many years in Ocala, where he taught at Forest High School.
He is survived by his brother Eugene Sadler and his sister Faye Sadler; his children, John Samuel Sadler and Brook Jenkins Sadler; his grandson, Oscar Sadler Geisz; his longtime and dear friends Deborah Folsom and Steven Geisz; and his adorable Maltese dog, Jack.

I have very fond memories of Dr. Sadler.
Once I asked him to be my valentine. He asked me what was he required to do as my valentine...I said, "bring me candy!"
He did! Tough teacher, good guy.
My condolences, but I bet he left many with good memories.

Very sorry to hear of Dr. Sadler's passing, and my heartfelt sympathies to his friends and family. I was lucky enough to have him as a teacher during my high school years at Forest, and I learned so much from him. He was a tough one, but to get a compliment from him meant you really EARNED it. I admired him a great deal and thought fondly of him often as I pursued a career in social work and education. I went through a lot as a teen, and I honestly believe without a few good teachers, my life would have taken a completely different path. Dr. Sadler will always be at the top of my "great teachers" list. He touched a lot of lives, and will be missed.

Dr. Sadler was perhaps one of my favorite teachers at Forest High. He taught my 11th grade English class. I learned so much from him. Very sad to hear of his passing. I have much sympathy for the Sadler family.

I had Dr. Sadler for English at Forest and loved his class and his teaching style. May you cherish your memories of him and know that he touched the lives of many while teaching in Ocala....God bless...

Dr. Sadler was tough but he taught me a lot. I still remember a lot because of him. I am back in school now and have often thought about him in my writing. To the Sadler family I send my deepest sympathy. God rest your soul Dr. Sadler. -Zeb Freeman FHS '94

I am sorry for the loss of Dr. Sadler, i had him for my English teacher at Forest High School class of 91. Yes he was a hard teacher, but I appreciate it still to this day. God will get you through this difficult time. Pamela Lofton

To the Sadler Family, I had Dr. Sadler my senior year in high school. He was a tough teacher but I learned SO much from him. I definately became a better writer thanks to him. May God give you peace and comfort during this difficult time.
