I am so very sorry to hear of Ken’s passing. My condolences to Pat and the boys and their families. He was a kind and generous man. Working for him at Blackhawk was a highlight of my career. My son Robert has wonderful memories of that time in his life as well, shooting the breeze with Billy Martin at the club. May Ken Rest In Peace and I pray that the family is carrying on and continuing to make him proud. Sincere (belated) sympathy to all of you. Judy Watry Dlugonski

Ken and I shared many wonderful conversations in my office and in the galleries at the Auto Museum during my twelve-plus years.
He'd tap on my window, sit down and chat for a few minutes and then was on his way.
He had a dozen favorite cars of which he loved to talk about the history.
I left the Museum after the 2007 Pebble Beach Concours and you, Ken and Family are a dear part of my life.

Comments given by Ken Behring in the Brigham Young University Commencement, August 2002, when he received an honorary doctorate degree (I treasure my friendship with this good man):
If I have any wisdom worth this honorary doctorate that you have so kindly given me, it is this: Giving is not a duty; it is a joy.
I wish every one of you graduates could lift someone into a wheelchair and look into his or her eyes. There are no barriers of race or religion or culture when your eyes meet. I want you to feel such joy. I want you to feel such humanity. Your lives are going to need similar experiences to be truly rich.

I was honored to work closely with Ken in the early successful days of worldwide wheelchair distribution. I will always remember that he never lost how to reach down and lift someone up. Surely, he do does God's service will receive God's pay. Ken's effort to earn a living then use those resources to help others is exemplary. I treasure a friendship from years ago with this good man! Love and best wishes to Pat, to David and to the entire Behring family!

Dear Behring Family,
My prayers go out to your entire family as you grieve Ken's passing. I send prayers of thanksgiving for Ken's life and for his spirit of generosity. I was a student in the PLI program at Cal (Cohort 4) and was extremely blessed to have benefited from Ken's gift to the School of Education. That program, which allowed me to earn my M.A. and Admin credential, was transformative and altered the trajectory of my life. I only met Ken once, but I know his generosity changed countless lives and inspired others to give back. Rest in peace, Ken!

To Pat and the Behring Family-
Our hearts go out to you all! Your family has always been kind and generous to ours. Even though we moved away years ago, you all welcomed us back with open arms whenever we visited! We have many happy memories of our times together. Ken was always a generous and enigmatic boss that made a huge impact on a young man just starting out in the car business. The knowledge he imparted throughout our time together was always appreciated.

My dad, who is one of Ken's high school classmates, to this day still talks about the wonderful trip Ken and Pat hosted and funded for the class' 50th class reunion. Although they didn't have the same circle of friends in high school, upon Ken's passing, Dad had only kind words for Ken, commenting on all the good he did. Mr. Behring was generous to causes in his hometown, kept in touch with his friends, and visited our little community often. Our sincerest condolences to the entire Behring family. He was a certainly a hometown boy that made his hometown proud. --Deborah Krauss, daughter of Ralph G. Krauss; Monroe, WI Class of 1946

Dear Pat & Family
I moved to Florida in 1972 and was a CPA with the Ft. Lauderdale CPA firm, Tenebaum, Topping & Simon, who represented Ken Behring at that time. I never personally met Mr. Behring but his name was always mentioned with reverence by the senior partners and by a real estate broker I knew named Bill Holland. My condolences to you & his family.
