Zoe Ann Leader

July 1, 1949 - March 3, 2015 The many chapters of Zoe Ann Leader's exuberant life came to a close on March 3, 2015. She died of cancer, surrounded by those who loved her. Zoe was born and raised in Hollywood until her family moved to London in the 60s. Her incandescent smile and personality touched everyone who knew her--from her counter-culture life as a member of the Black Bear Commune and the Pickle Family Circus, to her corporate life as a producer at Ogilvy & Mather and Young & Rubicam in New York; and finally as Director of Communications at Disney, where she traveled the world for the Feature Animation Department before retiring to her land in Paso Robles. Her proudest achievement and biggest love was her daughter, Phoebe Heit Leader. In addition to Phoebe, she is survived by her mother, Rosalinde Leader; her brother Zachary and sister-in-law Alice Leader; and nephews Max and Nick Leader. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Zoe's remarkable life on Saturday, May 9, at 5 p.m., in the Main Theatre of the Walt Disney Studios. Enter at the Buena Vista Gate.
