My heart goes out to you at this time of terrible loss. I knew Michael in his professional arena. I first met him when he was doing a renovation for Mary Ann DeTrana. As a professional organizer I have had occasion to work with many clients doing renovations. Michael's way of working, the quality of his work, and the way he treated clients was so respectful and of such quality. In a business where deadlines are so often ignored and communications with clients often sub-standard, Michael stood apart from the rest. He was so committed to doing things right on every level. I had dreams of one day having him do a project for me because I couldn't consider using anyone else, not after meeting Michael, observing his interactions with clients and the quality of his work. He was a man of integrity, high standards and deep caring. He leaves an enormous void in his world and our world. I grieve his loss with you.

Dawn and Family, I am deeply sorry to hear about Michael's passing. As people from many different communities have shared, Michael was highly respected and well liked. I know his Theta Chi brothers, especially his pledge brothers and A-school classmates have fond memories of their time with him at UVA. Dear Ms. Shearman and Family,
Please know that you are in my prayers for your great loss of Michael. Michael was our contractor and architect for the "Ould" house and he was so kind and understanding in his dealings with my Alzheimers suffering husband, in meeting his needs. We were truly bless to have Michael guiding us in building our home. Michael was the consummate professional and a joy to work with.
