Alexa Christakos Obituary
Beloved daughter, granddaughter,
niece, and friend
LOWELL -- Alexa Irene Christakos passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2012. She is survived by her mother, Constance Kouloungis Christakos and Mike Saccone of Lowell; her grandparents, Robert and Irene Kouloungis of Lowell; her uncle, Niclis Kouloungis and his wife, Daphne, their daughter, Ariana, and son, Robert of Chelmsford; her aunt and Godmother, Sofia Wacksman, her husband, Steve and their son, Dashiell of New York City. Alexa also leaves all of her friends, too numerous to mention by name.
Alexa Irene Christakos was born on February 11, 1989 in Lowell.
She attended the Murdock Middle Charter School until her high school years, when she moved to Lowell High School, graduating with the class of 2007. Alexa went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Brandeis University in the areas of American Studies and Philosophy.
A National Honor student and Scholastic All American swimmer, Alexa touched the lives of everyone she met with her enthusiasm, adventurous spirit and love of life. As a personal trainer, she inspired others to achieve their goals through healthy living and positive energy.
She touched so many lives with a compassionate heart as big as her beautiful smile; those fortunate enough to have known her will never be the same without her.
Alexa was laid to rest at St Mary's Cemetery in a private ceremony surrounded by her family and close friends.
A forty day memorial service will be held at the Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church in Lowell on October 28, 2012 at 9:30 AM.
The family welcomes all who wish to attend.

My Dear friend Bobby, his wife and family...
It has been many years since we have seen or spoken to one another. While time got the best of me I decided to look you up and I am grief stricken to come upon the obituary of your daughter Alexa.
I can't even begin to put this into words other than what a lovely young lady your daughter Alexa was.....I am so sorry for your loss and May Her Memory Be Eternal! I cant begin to imagine how you are all doing. I hope some where down the line in time, that you may find peace and forgiveness for the loss of your lovely daughter, Alexa.

I am so sorry to hear about Alexa's death. We were freshman roommates and even thought we were different, she was someone I could always rely on and trust and love.
