Arthur Blackburn Obituary
Mesa - Services for Arthur Allen Blackburn, Jr., 68, of Mesa Arizona will be 1:00 pm at Lakeshore Mortuary Chapel
He died Thursday, January 28, 2021 at home. Mr. Blackburn was born in Kansas City, Mo. and moved to Arizona in 1961. He attended East High School where he met his wife of 47 years. He attended Arizona State University and was the first in his family to graduate from college with a degree in Aerospace Engineering. After graduation he was employed at Douglas Aircraft in Long Beach, CA. He returned to Arizona in 1981 and worked for Garrett, Allied Signal and then Honeywell before retiring.
Survivors include wife Carol of Mesa, his mother, Bonnie of Mesa, brother Robert (Candy) of Gilbert, daughter Melissa (Scott) of Gilbert, son Matthew of Mesa, grandchildren Wesley, Mackenzie and Riley and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur.
