Family-Placed Death Notice

HUNTER, Beryl Beryl Hunter, 92, loving mother & wife died on April 13, 2011. She loved her family, friends & all God's creatures finding herself closest to Him when tending her garden. A native of Atlanta she attended high school in Birmingham, Al. where she also sang live on the radio. She worked on B-29's at Lockheed during World War II and later was a secretary at Georgia Tech. She was active in the civil rights movement and throughout her life gave generously to many in need. Favorite charities included Childhood Leukemia Foundation, American Red Cross & local and national animal rescue groups. She is survived by her daughter; Elizabeth Hunter-Dixon & son-in-law, James Dixon. A memorial service will be held at Arlington Memorial Park, Sandy Springs, Georgia within the Sunrise Chapel on Friday, May 6, 2011 at 11 a.m.. In lieu of flowers please make donations to your favorite charity. R.T. Patterson Funeral Home, Lilburn, Ga. entrusted with the arrangements. 770-923-2940
