Beth Golomb Obituary

Golomb, Beth Sue
Beth Sue Golomb passed away in Scottsdale, Arizona on February 6th, 2016 surrounded by her family. Beth was born March 17, 1955 in Buffalo, New York to Irwin and Gloria Saran. She was followed by her two younger siblings, Cathi (Round) of Gilbert, Arizona and Richard of Scottsdale, Arizona. In the summer of 1973, at one of the largest rock festivals ever held, "Summer Jam in Watkins Glen", Beth met the love of her life and future husband, Timothy (Tim) Golomb. They were married at Temple Beth Zion on June 20th, 1975. The following year, Beth graduated from University of Buffalo with her teaching degree and Tim and Beth had their first child, Marcy. In 1979, Beth and her family moved to Scottsdale and two more daughters, Hilary (1984) and Alyson (1987) were born. Beth was a stay at home mom while Tim built a thriving accounting practice. Beth loved to go shopping with her mother and her "girls"/daughters. She was a huge Buffalo Bills fan (she even went to the Super Bowl in 1992). Beth loved to travel and plan amazing trips all over the world for the family. Beth's last trip with Tim was a cruise throughout South East Asia celebrating her 40th wedding anniversary. However, the one thing Beth loved the most was being a grandma. Her grandchildren, Preston Cooper (2010), Emerson Cooper (2013), Camryn Cooper (2015) and Penelope Sperling (2015), were her greatest joy. Beth is survived by her husband, Tim and three daughters, Marcy Golomb, (a lawyer in Scottsdale), Hilary Cooper (a lawyer who is now a stay at mom for her three children in Scottsdale) and Alyson Sperling (a dentist in Orlando, FL), her two son-in-laws, Douglas Cooper and Mark Sperling, grandchildren and her siblings. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 12th, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery, 401 N. Hayden Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85257 followed by visitation at the Golomb home. Visitation on Friday only please. Donations and family condolences should be sent to Sinai Mortuary, 4538 N. 16th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85016-5304 or www.sinaimortuary.net.
