Bobbie Jean Formica nicknamed “Duck”, 75, of Gulfport, MS, passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at home with her family in Gulfport.
She was born on March 13, 1950, in Biloxi, MS to James Thomas Morgan and Mary (Peggy) Morgan. She graduated from Harrison Central High School and was first string on the basketball team. She loved sewing, cooking, basketball and waiting tables.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Pietro Formica, and sisters, Louise Morgan and Valerie Bang.
Survivors include her children, Melissa Schroeder (Wade), Richard Bond (Jennifer), Tonya Sleasman (Rodney), Tina Bosarge (Chris), Shannon Garcia (Wayne), Billy Murphy (Melinda), Cierra Formica (Travis), Chase Formica (Tapanga) and Mollee Formica (Corey); grandchildren, Ronald Hillmann, Brett Hillman, Michelle Fontenot (Jacob), Haley Ainsworth, Ashlynn Vansickle, Alex Hernandez, Morgan Hernandez, Jonathon Bond, Garrett Bond, Brandon Bond (Sabrina), Katie Beth Robertson, Alex Gorman, Shelby Geter, Savannah Teal, Destinee Garcia (Tommy), Gage Garcia, Nicole Foster, Lauren Foster, Summer Rae Murphy, Colton Ray Murphy, Syren Formica and Rhea Schroeder; 22 great grandchildren and siblings, Tommy Morgan (Dianna), Stanley Morgan (Antionette), Joyce Seymour (Red), James Morgan (Mary), John David Morgan (Yen), Janice Little (Tom), Charmagne Dulaney and her dog Missy.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 10, 2025, from 10:30 until 11:30 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home. Interment will be in Biloxi National Cemetery at 12:30 p.m.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses who cared for her during her illness.
